LeBron James and Shaquille O'Neal made their debut as Cleveland teammates last night in the Cavaliers' 92-87 preseason-opening victory over the Charlotte Bobcats. The two are hoping to end this city's pro-sports championship drought stretching to 1964, and while they are as much as nine months away from accomplishing that goal, it's already clear their pairing will be fun to watch. Helfrich Park defeated visiting Perry Heights 21-11, 21-14, 21-6 on Monday night to win the city tournament championship and wrap up the season with a 12-0 record. Helfrich's roster consisted of: Autumn Ashworth, Andrea Baggett, Jessica Bilskie, Alex Busch, Nicole Chandler, Bailey Chapman, Katie Dillon, Kendall English, Danielle Newton, Ashley Ousley and Cherish Scott. Helfrich Park is coached by Kara Carlile.

Every time she steps onto the court, she thinks about a person in the crowd — an undefined someone who has never before seen a women's basketball game, who has never witnessed the excitement and hustle of a WNBA competition. When the game is over, she vows to herself that someone in the crowd may not remember the final score, the last-second shots or the statistics. But there is one thing the newcomer will not forget: the hustle and determination of the small forward in the No. 24 jersey.
